Stephen Carlile trained at the Guildford School of Acting. He most recently played the Harold Stinker Pinker in BY JEEVES at Eastbourne Theatres. Prior to this he played the role of Algernon in THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST at the Jermyn Street Theatre and Freddy Eynsford-Hill in the Cameron Mackintosh/NT production of MY FAIR LADY. Stephen was the Lead Tenor, singing 'Springtime for Hitler' in the original London cast of THE PRODUCERS at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, where he also understudied and played both Leo Bloom and Roger DeBris. Previous theatre credits include: Tin Man in WIZARD OF OZ (New Vic Theatre), cover Andre in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA at Her Majesty's Theatre, Harry Lytton in OVER MY SHOULDER (Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford/tour), Snoopy in SNOOPY! (Jermyn Street Theatre), Noel Coward in NOEL COWARD IN CONCERT (Theatre Museum), Muttley in SPACE FAMILY ROBINSON (Pleasance), Bluebeard in SAINT JOAN (Isleworth Playhouse), Mr Wiggs in VANITY FAIR (Theatre Museum), and has regularly appeared in concerts and cabarets with Julian Slade, Dick Vosburgh and Denis King. Radio/recordings include DOCTOR WHO (BBC/Big Finish), VANITY FAIR and OVER MY SHOULDER (TER Records). As Co-Director of Morning Vicar Productions, Stephen produced the West-End revival of SNOOPY THE MUSICAL at the New Players Theatre.
