Brenda trained at the Royal Academy of Music and has found most success in Musical Theatre and Children's Television. West End shows include SOUND OF MUSIC, NOISES OFF, INTO THE WOODS, BAZAAR AND RUMMAGE, PRISONER and THE MISTER MEN. She has completed ten National tours, last playing Buttercup in HMS PINAFORE for Carl Rosa Opera. She has also toured Japan with the New York City Opera. Other work includes over fifty productions in theatres countrywide and many cast recordings. Favourite musical roles include Mother Abbess in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Netty in CAROUSEL, Grace in ANNIE, Duchess of Dene in ME AND MY GIRL, Nancy in OLIVER!, Eliza in MY FAIR LADY and Golde in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Recently she played Julia in the BAFTA nominated film TOMORROW LA SCALA. Brenda appeared in TV’s Sooty and Sweep as the voice of Soo and co-presented SOOTY AND CO as Mo. Brenda now runs the New Farnham Repertory Actors.
